Hyposensitisation

Nowadays, hyposensitisation is the therapy of choice for pollen and insect toxin allergies. The recovery chance for bee or wasp toxin allergies is now about 98%.
The allergy inducing substance is injected into the skin weekly in gradually increasing doses. After reaching the highest dose the therapy continues monthly for a period of 3 years.

A short treatment can also be sufficient with less pronounced complaints. Injections with the allergen occur on a weekly basis over a period of 2-3 months. This cycle is conducted for 3 years beyond the respective complaint period, i.e. mostly in the autumn/winter.
