The neodymium-doped:YAG laser is a solid-state laser, in which are embedded metal ions in a crystal (an active medium). The emission lines are at 1064 and 1320 nm (infrared). This causes a very small absorption on the skin surface and at the same time increases the scattering effect. The thermal interaction is gentle on the skin and leads to a great result.
WHAT CAN BE TREATED WITH THE ND:YAG LASER?
Large Nodular vascular malformations and regenerated skin, as for example hemangioma (bloody sponges) or spider angioma.
FREQUENCY OF THE TREATMENT
The treatment plan varies depending on the size and depth of the malformations, usually 2-3 sessions are sufficient.
IS AN ANAESTHETIC NECESSARY?
There is no anaesthesia necessary.
HOW LONG IS THE DOWNTIME?
There is no downtime. A slight redness will occur in the treated area, which will lay down again within a few hours.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE CONSIDERED?
Before and after the treatment intensive sun exposure must be avoided for at least. 4 weeks.
