THE LASER FOR SKIN PIGMENTS AND TATOO REMOVAL
The ruby laser is ideally suitable for a gentle way of removing pigmentations and tattoos without causing any scarring. The short pulse duration and the wavelength of 694 nm is absorbed by pigments and thereby heats them up. This causes the dissipation of the pigments. After the pigment are dissipated, the lymphatic system eliminates the small fractions similar to the wound healing process. This process does not affect the surrounding skin.
WHAT CAN BE TREATED WITH THE RUBY LASER?
- Pigmentation spots
- Aging spots
- Tattoos
FREQUENCY OF THE TREATMENT
The frequency of the treatment depends entirely on the intensity of the pigmentation or tattoo. Your treating doctor will advise you which treatment plan and how many sessions are required for an optimal result.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE CONSIDERED WITH THIS TREATMEN?
There is no anaesthesia necessary for the treatment with the ruby laser. Furthermore, it is allowed to shower or bath immediately after the treatment. However, in the first 10 days it is necessary not to manipulate emerging scabs. To avoid the development of hyperpigmentation it is strongly recommended to avoid direct UV-exposure (sun, tanning salon) 4 weeks before and after the treatment. If it is not possible to avoid the sun, we recommend using sunscreen with a high sun protection factor (SPF 50). During the summer month, this time can also extend. Therefore, it is recommended not to plan a laser therapy directly before or after a holiday. Furthermore, exposed areas like the face or hands should not be treating during summer at all.
